From Advocacy to Implementation

The CGC has long advocated for a bipartisan charitable deduction for non-itemizers. With its enactment in the OBBBA, our work enters a new phase.

We are now focused on:

• Ensuring taxpayers understand and use the new deduction
• Protecting the deduction from erosion or repeal
• Evaluating its impact on nonprofits and giving patterns
• Pursuing improvements that strengthen charitable giving incentives over time

Policy wins matter-but only if they are used, preserved, and built upon.
