WASHINGTON, DC – The Charitable Giving Coalition (CGC)—an alliance of more than 175 nonprofit and faith-based organizations—issued the following statement to mark Giving Tuesday 2025.

"On this Giving Tuesday, the Charitable Giving Coalition proudly celebrates the millions of Americans who are generously supporting charitable and faith-based organization, the true backbone of our communities. With so many in need, we must do all we can to inspire even greater generosity. That is why the CGC worked closely with our bipartisan champions on Capitol Hill to expand the charitable tax deduction to non-itemizers, ensuring that every taxpayer, regardless of income, can benefit from deducting their charitable contributions. We look forward to this new incentive taking effect in 2026, and we remain deeply grateful to all who supported this policy and continue to give so selflessly to strengthen and uplift their fellow Americans. The CGC remains committed to working with policymakers across the aisle to advance policies that inspire and empower all Americans to give generously."
