Save the Date: Charitable Giving Coalition
Grow Giving Now DC Fly-In
Tuesday, November 15th – Wednesday, November 16th, 2022
Please join us for the Grow Giving Now DC Fly-In hosted by the Charitable Giving Coalition. This fly-in is a key element in the coalition’s efforts to ensure the renewal and expansion of the non-itemizer charitable deduction that expired at the end of 2021.
As you may recall, a broad coalition of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and the Capitol introduced the Universal Giving Pandemic Response and Recovery Act (S.618, H.R.1704) last year, which would renew the non-itemizer charitable deduction that was enacted for 2020 and 2021, as well as increase the cap to one-third of the standard deduction, or about $4,000 for single filers and about $8,000 for joint filers.
For the next two months, lawmakers will be spending a lot of time on the campaign trail as many of them run for reelection. Immediately following the election, they will turn their attention back to legislating to cross off some of their year-end to-dos, including renewing expired tax provisions like the non-itemizer deduction. We need your help to make it happen!
Our goal is to have a wide array of participants attend, representing a broad sample of the nonprofit sector including private and community foundations and charities. There is no cost to attend the event, but we are asking participants to be responsible for their own travel and hotel, if needed.
Below is a brief schedule of events:
Tuesday, November 15th

Wednesday, November 16th
